Grae Knight by Juggertha Grae Knight by Juggertha
This is a tough one; a guy with both sunglasses and a big ass sword. ;)

Edit: finished. I like how he turned out in the end. There are some issues I have with the pose itself but the sword, I mean come one, don't ya just love that sword?

Something magical there I tell ya ;)

Juggertha, you have improved so much on your digital painting. You gotten a very nice contrast in this piece. And the glows looks great.

His right shoulder blends really well into the darnkess. You might consider doing something similar with the back of his left arm.

Also, for future metal armors, think of how reflective metal is. You can have deep shadows on metals and still have points of reflected (though dulled) lights.

Still this is a very nice piece. Good work!

Honestly, the metal scared the crud out of me. I had such a hard time making it look even close to being hard (with my soft style and all). Crisper lines would have done it... but I ran out of black ink a long time ago ;)

Good call on that arm though! It should be sunk back more by shadow.

Metal can be very scary. :) My suggestion is to grab something metal in your house and paint it.

As for your inks, I know you paint digitally, but do you ever ink digitally?

heh, I live in Korea. Nothing in my place is really metal. All we have is plastic over here ;)

I'm sorry. I didn't know that. :) However, even a necklace would do.

Well, then the next best thing would be photos of shiny metal on the web. You could serach for images like swords, motor cycles, oooo! Or Chrome!

Hope that helps!

You've got great digitalpainting skills. The glow around the sword is amazing. If someone attacked me with a sword like that I wouldn't be scared at all I would be admiring how pretty it is. :P

Fantastic job on the colouring, I'm not sure why the pose bothers you, I like it fine, and the cape.. it's great how it wraps around the sides and has that glow on it, very cool :D

Thanks man. It's still not your cool lasso-glow, but I'm working on it.
