Artist's Comments

My buddy Graver did the first version of this couple [link] now I suppose it is my turn to do the second.

This is a piece I am doing for Kllrjatt. Two angelic/demonic characters.

I plan to have the heavens opening up for them (cool lighting) and the burned futuristic city below.

That's the plan at least.

Well, I must say, I need work on clouds, but other than that, this piece went well. I've been doing pieces over a few weeks time now and I think that the prolonged time adds to the pieces. Instead of one sitting, I'm able to revisit it and see things I may have been too tired to see before.

I hope they like it.

This picture looks very impressive. Even without the existence of line-art, this still looks impressive (the absence of line-art might even be a good thing style-wise). The rays of light and the clouds in the background do well in setting up a divine judgment-like settting. The shading job is terrific. At a closer look, the edges look rough, but all that seems negligible.

Yeah, the filesize is much larger than what I normally show. In this size you can see all my flub-ups. usually I display at about half of this. I wanted it this size though so people could see those little boo-boos.

Thanks for the compliments on the lighting. I really enjoyed doing this one.
