The daughter of Statesman and Maiden Liberty from City of Heroes - her names is States and I hope you all like this pic.

Edit: I hate to do this to my own work, but at a certain point, enough is enough.

This piece was originally requested in January and finished (and posted) on Jan 22nd). I emailed the high-rez copy to the requester and expected payment promptly. 3 months later now and still no payment. I have given them various options for payment, including sending me a similarly priced item through the mail - and 3 months later, still nothing. In fact, I no longer get responses.

At this point, I have given up and am writing off the commission. I am posting this version of the piece as a message.. mostly to myself, but also to any other artists out there.

I have always stood up for the 'buyer' and cringe every time I hear about an artist taking money and not giving the art (one particular 'company' comes to mind). But from an artists perspective, it can be hazardous too.

Feel free to comment with your thoughts on the matter here - this piece is no longer a 'iece', but rather a message.
