Wrapping up my street-fight this Friday. Then I'll start getting the concepts I'm playing with down on paper for the pummel. I'm not too keen on the topic actually. "Monsters who are Superheros" has been done so many times that it's fairly trite.
Y'know...it's really good..but it doesn't feel like a "massacre" here. I think you may need more Jawa's runig around....maybe the Stormtroopers blasting more. Not sure...but I think you should amp up the action a bit.
The figures look great and the colors and textures are well done, but overall it feels tame; the poses could use some exaggeration to liven things up. There's also an awful lot of negative space in the upper left. It would probably have been better to tighten the focus on the characters with less background. And as someone who loves to add the occasional glow and lighting effect to my work, what caught my attention right away was the energy blasts. They don't look like energy; they look more like some sort of sauce or liquid. Consider removing or coloring the outlines on the blasts to differentiate them from everything else.
Luke: I've never seen them attack anything this big before.
Obi-Wan: They didn't, but we are made to think they did. These tracks are side by side, sand people always walk single file, to hide their numbers. And these, blast points... too accurate for sand people. Only Imperial Storm Troopers are so precise...
Yeah, your constant mentioning of the battles got me interested. And I also figured I've been giving you some harsh critiques, so I should put up or shut up. Once I reach 50 posts I'm going to get a weigh-in on some stuff I'm currently working on and join the chaos (yes I realize i could get a mod to make the poll, but I'm a real do-it-myself kinda guy!)
